UV-312 is a low-volatility, polar ultraviolet absorber with good thermal stability.

It does not discolor upon contact with metal ions and is particularly effective against short-wavelength ultraviolet radiation.

It is commonly used as a brightener and as a stabilizer in UV-curing systems, and is recommended for polyamide (PA), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyurethane (PU), and polyester (PET/PBT) resins.
